Our Philosophy

QUALITY EDUCATION – BIBLICAL VALUES – EXEMPLARY TEACHERS

We embrace each child as a precious gift from God, created in His image. Guided by Christ’s love, we commit to nurturing and educating with understanding and care. We value the uniqueness of each child, aiming to foster an environment where they can grow as competent and confident learners. Through love, encouragement, and gentle correction, we support the development of the fruits of the spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We are dedicated to helping children discover and refine their gifts and talents, using them in service to God and the world He created. Our goal is to guide children to think and act in ways that reflect biblical principals, laying a strong foundation for their future.

Our curriculum is deeply rooted in God’s Word, integrating the principles of Te Whāriki to ensure a comprehensive learning experience for every child. We value a blend of both adult and child-initiated ideas to enrich our program. Our environment is one where planned experiences and spontaneous activities coexist, offering children the freedom to direct and broaden their own learning journeys. In our centre, the act of being prayerful is encouraged, reflecting a life lived in faith and connection with God.

We acknowledge the diversity of God’s creation, ensuring our curriculum mirrors the myriad of cultures and people, fostering an atmosphere that welcomes all. Our program is thoughtfully designed to be age appropriate, catering to both individual needs and group dynamics, enabling children to thrive. By ensuring biblical truths weave through our learning experiences, we provide a foundation that enriches children’s spiritual and moral growth.

In recognition of the dual cultural heritage of Aotearoa/New Zealand, our curriculum upholds the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi, respecting and reflecting the unique place of Māori as tangata whenua. Through this holistic approach, we aim to not only nurture competent and confident learners but also instill in them the values of the fruits of the spirit, equipping them to grow into thoughtful, compassionate individuals ready to serve in God’s world.

We believe that the family/whānau, as ordained by God, forms the cornerstone of our community. We commit ourselves to fostering, empowering, and nurturing strong whānau/families. Our dedication extends to crafting a stimulating and loving environment, open and compassionate towards both children and their families. Recognizing parents/caregivers as the primary educators of their children, we prioritize partnerships with them. This collaboration is vital for fully comprehending each child’s unique needs and potentials, ensuring their development and growth within the preschool setting. This synergy cultivates a seamless connection between home and our centre, instilling a shared sense of belonging.

Our team are highly valued and are the embodiment of our values. Each member reflects God’s image marked by uniqueness in age, culture and gifts. Their experience, passion, and qualifications underpin our excellence in delivery. We encourage our staff to embody the attributes of Christ, emphasizing the importance of prayer and ongoing professional development, ensuring they remain at the forefront of educational excellence and spiritual growth.
